Event - Overseas Challenge Trek
Location - Vietnam
A 13 day trek through Vietnam starting in Hanoi, and trekking through terraced rice paddies and ascending Fansipan Peak to an elevation of 3,100m, through primary forest containing giant centures old pine trees and expanses of yellow bamboo. You will also spend time in the Thuy An Centre, which is a project providing shelter and care for older people who have been abandoned by their families or have no relatives to take care of them, you will be spending a couple of days workking on this project.
The scenery will be spectacular and diverse.
The trip includes flights from the UK (excluding taxes), all transfers and transport to Vietnam, accommodation in 2 star hostels (6 nights) tents on trek (2 nights), and air-conditioned sleeper compartments on train (2 nights), all meals throughout, entrance fees, local guide & porters on trek, all trekking equipment (tents etc), project materials and project coordination, Different Travel Tour Leader, local doctor.
Not included are personal expenses (such as drinks. laundry etc), airport taxes (currently approx. £130 pp), visas and vaccinations required (current cost for Vietnamese visa £30 for UK passport holders), travel insurance and tips.
A deposit of £300 per person will be required to secure you place, you will also need to raise a further £2600 by way of sponsorship or donations (this does not include your personal expenses).
