News - Great Start to 2010 for Lucky Hospice Lottery Winner
Dorothy Whitebrook from Penenden Heath, Maidstone had a great start to her New Year when she won the top prize of £3,000, after her lottery number was selected at random on Christmas Day as part of the Hospice's lottery Christmas Super Draw.
Mrs Whitebrook has been supporting the Hospice since 1997 and holds two numbers in the Hospice’s weekly lottery draw. Having previously won a number of smaller prizes, Mrs Whitebrook was absolutely delighted to have won the top prize in this year’s Christmas Super Draw, making 2009 a really lucky year for her. Dorothy said “I couldn’t believe it when I received a call from the Hospice telling me that I was the top prize winner. It certainly is a very nice surprise especially at this time of year. I remember watching how the Hospice was built back in the 1990s as I used to work at Preston Hall, it is a great cause and one I’m proud to support.”
The second prize of £250 and the 3rd prize of £100 were also won by Maidstone residents. 21 smaller cash prizes were also available to win, ranging from £50 to £10, so if you think you may be a lucky lottery winner, click here to check your numbers.
The Christmas Super Draw raised an impressive £23,000 for The Heart of Kent Hospice, which will go towards the £3m annual running costs needed to continue providing palliative care to the local community.Thank you to all those who took part and bought tickets.
